Vitamin injections - hair loss

Mesotherapy for Hair Loss

Vitamin injections treatment has now been used for decades to successfully restore luster and volume to thinning hair and to promote significant hair regrowth for both women and men who have experienced the beginnings of balding or Alopecia Areata.

Most forms of hair loss are caused by:

  • hormone imbalances in and around the hair follicle

  • a lack of the right nutrients

  • reduced blood circulation

Our mesotherapy treatment tackles exactly those 3 problems which results in a stimulation of natural hair growth and immediate stopping of hair loss.

  • Replicate the appearance of 3D realistic looking areola and even create the illusion of nipple protrusion.

  • Reposition, recolour or reshape the overall appearance of NAC.

  • Reduce the appearance of radiotherapy marks.

  • Diffuse scarring from mastectomies, breast uplifts / reductions and other types of breast surgery.

Over a series of sessions, our Nipple Areola Complex (NAC) Tattooing can add layers of colour and redefine a shape . If the area is Bi-Lateral we will take into account skin tone to provide you with the most natural colour possible. For a Uni-lateral patient we will simply chose the closest colour match.

How long will it take?

Areola tattooing typically takes 3 sessions and your appointments may take up to 2.5 hours. Camouflaging of breast scars generally takes 2-4 sessions and about an hour to treat.

What happens during the consultation?

We’ll chat through exactly what you’d like the end result to be. This will include looking at your areola shape, size, placement and colourings. Then your specialist will ‘pre-draw’ the areola and nipple complex using temporary markers and perfectly match the pigment shades to your skin. This is to make sure the correct style and colours are chosen and the finished result is as natural as possible.

What will happen during treatment?

Your specialist will skilfully infuse the colour into your skin while carefully tracing over the pre-drawn template that you’ve chosen.

Will it hurt?

We want you to be completely comfortable during the treatment. If you still have sensation following your surgery, we’ll make sure numbing agents are applied and continually check how you’re feeling. Our clients usually describe the discomfort as no more than 3 out of 10.

Will I be able to go back to work straight afterwards?

Absolutely. Typically the area around your treatment may be slightly red for 36 hours and we apply a sterile dressing, which you wear under your clothes for up to 5 days.

How much does a nipple tattoo procedure cost?

Prices start at £99 per session / areola. If you are considering creating or enhancing the look of your areola, contact us today to discuss your nipple tattoo procedure.

What is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is a non-invasive technique based on superficial microinjections just below the epidermis, into the target tissues. The term ‘meso’ is derived from the mesoderm or middle layer of the skin (approx. 1 mm deep). Mesotherapy is a treatment that stimulates the mesoderm, which relieves a wide variety of symptoms and ailments.

The solution injected can contain a wide range of minerals, vitamins, amino acids, nucleic acids and co-enzymes that can be tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Mesotherapy for hair loss is used with great success in Europe and the United States. The treatment is virtually painless and safe. There is no dressing or local anaesthesia required. After the treatment you can just go back to work.

Today we know that Mesotherapy is as effective or more effective than tablets in hair rejuvenation and restoration.

Mesotherapy brings just the right materials to the exact place where it is needed (around the hair follicle) so that;

  • the hair follicle can grow and survive,
  • the excess of DHT (dihydrotestosteron) is neutralised and the blood circulation is stimulated.

Traditional mesotherapy has been used for decades and used for facial rejuvenations, weight loss, cellulitis and other localized problems. The ability to apply it directly to the affected area is what brought it to the attention of those treating hair loss.

Mechanism of action of Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy employs both the physical (mechanical) and chemical stimulation. Small doses of different medications are administered in specific areas depending on the condition being treated. They act like a medicinal bullet that is delivered directly to a target area of the body.

Mechanical: The needle is creating micro perforations that induce a healing process. The post-traumatic response of the organism is to produce collagen and elastin – two of the key building blocks of skin. As there is no removal or “real” damage to existing collagen, the new formation of it simply adds to existing levels.

Chemical: The injected active ingredients will stimulate the organism. For instance, if the circulation is poor, a vasodilator is used; if excessive inflammation is present, an anti-inflammatory medication is used (e.g. organic silicon). The quality of the product and its composition relating to the desire result is of the highest importance.

Mesotherapy in Hair Loss

Mesotherapy is a system that can improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, neutralize excess DHT, stimulate collagen, increase follicle size to stop hair loss and stimulate hair growth.

It can reduce the inflammation process stopping hair loss and stimulates the hair growth (comparative study to minoxidil). It modulates DHT, stimulates the extra cellular matrix and anchoring proteins. Acetyl tetrapeptide-3 stimulates tissue remodeling and has a direct effect on the hair follicle. The remodeling signal will increase the size of hair follicle for better hair anchoring and vitality.

  • Stimulates growth of new hair
  • Prevents hair breakage
  • Speeds up formation of new hair follicles
  • Repairs damaged tissues in  scalp
  • Increases hair density and volume
  • Promotes blood circulation in the scalp
  • Noticable results whithin 2-3 months

The Treatment

The treatment itself takes between 10 and 30 minutes depending on the extension of the area being treated.
Usually a minimum of 10 sessions is required to stimulate hair growth. We recommend starting with an intensive course of treatments every 2 weeks for the first 2-3 months. The frequency then gradually decreases and the results of hair rejuvenation become evident already after 2-3 months. In order to keep the results, maintenance treatments are needed generally once every 6 months.

Cost per treatment is £150, get one treatment for free when you buy course of 9.

Mesotherapy can potentially eliminate the need for hair transplant surgery. Whilst this treatment is effective in stimulating and reactivating hair follicles, the follicle must be in a dormant state and not dead. Mesotherapy treatments work best when toxins are eliminated from the diet and you’re following a healthy exercise program.
